planning and facilitation, project management, and training
and capacity building.
Round
River Canada has strong philosophical links to Round
River Conservation Studies (RRCS), based in Salt Lake
City, Utah. Formed in 1991, RRCS has conducted conservation
work in Canada, Belize, Honduras, Ecuador, Namibia, and
the US, and has developed a reputation as one of the pioneers
and leading practitioners in the field of regional conservation
planning and analysis.
RRCS
scientists and intern students gather ecological information,
and engage local communities in conservation dialogue. Drawing
from the principles of conservation biology, RRCS projects have
helped partner communities, organizations, and governments establish
a scientific foundation for their long-term conservation planning
efforts.
Round
River Canada associates have collaborated on previous RRCS
projects, and continue to draw on the expertise and experience
of conservation biologists and planners to extend the range
of technical capabilities available.
